Hi Gitora Team,
We had to migrate Gitora database schema to a newer database server. I used data pump and identified the most common exp/imp issues.
* missing object grants (after export import)
* one public synonym missing
* missing network ACL
Now each Gitora object in the database is VALID.
I also updated apache config here:
Apache restart doesn't show any kind of error, and successfully connects to the new database.
But when I open Gitora I get following errormessage, even before entering my credentials:
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SESSION", line 122
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_CONTEXT", line 41
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_SUPPORT", line 637
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_SUPPORT", line 685
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_MAINFRAME_MNG", line 249
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_ENGINE", line 231
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_ENGINE", line 1765
ORA-06512: at "GITORA.BDF_ENGINE", line 2141
Here comes my question:
Is it possible to export/import Gitora repository?
Is there a way to setup a new Gitora system without losing the Git repository, keeping up all historical code changes?
There are also one (or more) contexts you need to create for the new schema. (SYS_CONTEXT) I think that's why you receive the error.
Git repos should be easy to move around. They are essentially just files.
Gitora data lives in T_BDF_APPLICATION and T_BDF_DBOBJECT tables. If you migrate the data in these tables to the new installation you'll probably be OK, (assuming that you already moved the Git repos to their new correct locations.)
As with every migration, sequence numbers and ID's might become an issue. So please watch out for that and make sure the new sequence objects don't provide the same ID's that you already migrated.
Hope this helps.
