How to install GitOra in multi-tenant database

Hi,
I’ve got a database with three pdb’s - production, test and development. Should I install the gitora user into each pdb or into the CDB as a common user?

I would welcome your advice.

Hi Jonathan,

You should have two separate Gitora installations. One for Dev and one for Test.

Gitora is not installed to production databases.

Yalim

Hi Yalim,

Thank you for your quick response. Both the test and development PDBs have different connect strings. How do I incorporate this into the tomcat configuration?

Best wishes,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your interest in Gitora.

There are two ways to solve this issue. The simple solution is to have two Gitora middle tier installations running on two different Tomcats, each pointing to a different database.

Another, slightly more complicated solution is to install multiple Gitora middle tiers to one Tomcat. server. This blog post explains how to achieve this: http://michielarentsen.blogspot.com/2017/02/how-to-set-up-multiple-gitora.html

(Please note that at the time of this writing the link above was responding very slowly for some reason.)

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
Yalim

Hi Yalim,

Many thanks. I’ll have a try at the second option.

Best wishes,

Jonathan
