I am trying to install GitOra but once I enter the SYS username and password I get the error
invalid username/password: logon denied.
I have checked and updated the username and password multiple times with not much luck.
The database is Oracle 11g and it is Oracle database for E-Business Suite R12.1 application - Vision Install available from Oracle.
Is there a workaround this issue ?
I am trying to install GitOra on a remote Windows machine while the database/server reside on command line Linux server. Is this setup okay or do need to install GitOra on the Linux server ?
Can one use SYSTEM user for login ?
Any help or suggestion for a workaround is greatly appreciated.
First of all, your setup is ok. Gitora can run both on Linux and Windows.
However, because of your database being for E-Business Suite, it might have different configuration/settings.
Please try to connect to your database in SYS user by using SQL Developer. If you manage to connect with it, there shouldn't be a problem with Gitora installer either.
If it doesn't work, you can always try to install Gitora with manual installation scripts. You can download it from our website. http://gitora.com/download.php
Thank you Serdar
I am successfully able to make the database connection.
Will explore the product and let you know if I have any questions.
