Hi,

There is a couple of things you need to be aware of.

1. The absolute paths of Gitora files
For the sake of easy migration, I suggest you keeping the paths of Gitore files the same. If you have to change the paths, then you will need to update the following configuration files accordingly. You need to find absolute paths inside these files and change them with the new ones.

  • [tomcat folder]/WEB-INF/classes/logback.conf
  • [tomcat folder]/WEB-INF/cgi-bin/sc/gitweb.cgi
  • [tomcat folder]/WEB-INF/classes/co/gerger/sc/resources/Settings.properties

2. Necessary privileges
To let Gitora perform properly, both middletier server and the database server has to be able to access each other. Thus, both machines (if they’re in different machines) have to necessary firewall rules in order to let them communicate each other. Moreover, you have to configure Oracle Database to let Gitora schema access middle tier server for specified ports, too.

3. Configuration Tables
You have to update T_BDF_SC_SETUP table if you ever change the IP address or active port of Gitora middletier server.
